Xtreme Neem Soap

Ingredients.  ONO Xtreme Neem soap is made of olive oil, coconut oil, fresh neem leaf and bark extract, and neem bark powder.

Direct Benefit.  The direct benefit of using this product is that, because it is all-natural and does not contain chemicals that can cause irritation or allergies, it is both healthy and earth-friendly.  

Potential Benefits from Active Ingredients. Neem extract fights eczema, psoriasis and acne.  It relieves dry and itchy skin and prevents moisture loss, thus keeping skin hydrated.

It is anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory.  It removes bacteria that causes pimples and thus prevents breakouts.  It helps reduce redness and inflammation caused by acne and thereby reduces the formation of acne scars.

It has fatty acids and vitamins.  It is therefore an anti-oxidant as well.  It rejuvenates the skin and improves elasticity.  It smooths fine lines and wrinkles and fights the signs of ageing.

Neem extract is also anti-fungal.  It fights fungal infections such as ringworm, nail fungus and athlete’s foot.  Tests have proven that neem is effected against 14 different cultures of fungi.

Because of the presence of neem extract, this bar is effective against extreme skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.  It is also effective against allergies and fungal infections, and may help keep the skin hydrated and smooth.

Use.  This variant may be used daily on the affected area but only as long as the skin condition sought to be treated remains.  As soon as the skin condition heals, the user should shift to another variant.  However, please read the Note on Exfoliants that follow.

Caution.  If you find the soap too rough, do not rub directly on your skin.  Instead, lather with hands and use hands to apply.  This is especially applicable for pregnant women and young children.

Safety Check.  This variant should never be used on infants below 6 months old.  It is safe for use by children at least 2 years old.  It may be used on children under 2 years old but only if the child has a skin problem that will probably benefit from the active ingredients of the soap. When doing so, use should be limited to the affected area only, and should be stopped as soon as the skin condition heals.

Pregnant and lactating mothers are advised to use another variant if possible.  If ever used by a pregnant mother, the soap must never be ingested.  And when used by a pregnant mother, the soap must never be used on or around the breast area.

Note on Exfoliants.  This soap is an exfoliant due to the neem bark powder that is present in the bar. Exfoliants should not be rubbed on the skin daily, otherwise the skin will not have time to grow back. Overuse of exfoliants can potentially cause rashes.  If the soap must be used daily, rub the soap using hands and use hands to apply the soap.  This is particularly true if the soap is used on children and people with sensitive skin.

The All-Natural Guarantee.  Like our other ONO products, this soap does not contain artificial fragrances, artificial colours, hardeners, or any other artificial additives.  It is completely all-natural and is entirely handmade.
