Zeolite: What It Is and What It Does

Zeolite is a mineral that occurs naturally in or around volcanic regions. It consists of negatively charged particles that trap toxins and eliminate them from the body.

Zeolites are natural volcanic minerals that are mined in certain parts of the world. When volcanoes erupt, molten lava and thick ash pour out. Because many volcanoes are located on an island or near an ocean, this lava and ash often flows into the sea.

Zeolites have a unique structure.  They are said to have cages with negatively charged ions in them, which in turn attract positively charged ions and remove them from the body.  In the process of absorbing the positive charged ions (which are bad for the body), the negatively charged ions (which are good for the body) are released into the body in an exchange. This website has an animated photo illustrating this process.

This makes zeolite an effective tool for removing heavy metals from the body.  One website article says:

Other than removing toxins and heavy metals, zeolite is also known to raise the overall pH level of the body.  Higher alkalinity is healthier for the body.  A low alkaline level (i.e. acidity) is “breeding ground” for cancer cells.  In this sense, zeolite can be said to help prevent cancer.

Detoxifying

ONO Facial Mask is mainly detoxifying.  That is what it was made for.  When applied to the face and the body, it is expected to draw out whatever toxins are trapped under the skin.  It is also expected to raise the body’s pH level and give the user a general sense of well-being.

Repeating the process regularly will create clearer, smoother and generally healthier skin.

How To Use

1.  Our facial mask comes in pouches that are not resealable.  Open the pouch and transfer a portion of its contents to a clean soup bowl.  If you are using it only for your face, you will need only about 1/3 of the contents of the pack.  Make sure to reseal the pouch using a plaster or a clip and set somewhere cool until your next use.

2.  Wash your face with soap and water, then pat it dry.  Make sure your face is clean and dry before starting the application.  Do not put or apply anything on the skin prior to application, especially creams or other facial products.

3.  Using clean fingers, apply the mud evenly on your face and neck. Be careful to avoid the eye area.  The mud will be grainy.  If you like, you can do a gentle massage to exfoliate.  However, do not do this if you have sensitive skin.

3.  Leave the mud to dry.  This will take about 10 minutes.  You know the mud has dried up because it will change in color (from dark green to light) and your face will feel tight.

4.  Once the mud is dry, wash it off using cool water only.  Do not use soap.  Pat to dry.  Do not apply anything on your face (such as night creams) on evenings when you use the facial mask.

5.  You may repeat the process every 3 days.

Satefy Check

This product is generally safe, even for pregnant and lactating mothers.  And while it is safe for children, we would not recommend this product to them, but only because they DO NOT NEED it.  However, in rare instances when a young child needs detoxification, this product may be used.

Caution on Detoxification

A detoxification process can draw out toxins from the skin.  For some people ~ not all ~ it can mean a sudden pimple-like breakout.  This is a normal part of the detoxification process and will usually last only a few days.
